About us
A sanctuary for the mind, on the edge of the ocean
We created The Sanctuary Retreat to be the place we wished existed: small, personal, evidence-informed and deeply kind.
Our story
The Sanctuary Retreat began with a simple belief: that people recover best when they feel safe, unhurried and truly cared for. Too often, support is squeezed into a 50-minute appointment between work, family and everything else. We wanted to offer something different.
Set in the natural beauty of Yallingup, our retreat welcomes a small number of guests at a time. That keeps the atmosphere peaceful and lets our team get to know each person, their story and what they need to feel well again.
What guides us
Compassion first
You are met with warmth and respect, never judgement. Your pace is the right pace.
Evidence-informed care
Our programs draw on established therapeutic approaches delivered by qualified practitioners.
Whole-person wellbeing
Mind, body, sleep, food, connection and nature all matter, so every program considers them together.
Privacy and safety
Small groups, private rooms and strict confidentiality, so you can relax and be yourself.
Our approach
Every stay starts with a conversation about where you are and where you would like to be. From there we shape a gentle daily rhythm that may include individual sessions, small-group workshops, mindfulness and meditation, yoga and movement, nature walks, nourishing meals and plenty of unstructured time to rest.
Before you leave, we help you put together a personal wellbeing plan and connect you with ongoing support at home, so the progress you make here continues.
Take the first step, gently
Have a question, or wondering whether a retreat is right for you? Send us a message. We reply personally, usually within one business day, and there is never any pressure.
